Progress Report

Hello everyone! We hope you’re all enjoying the game so far. We wanted to give you a progress report on the upcoming updates that we’re working on. Our team has been hard at work, making improvements and adding new features to enhance your experience.

To start off, we’re converting our codebase to Python 3 and Renpy 8, which will help address performance issues on PC and android devices. We’re also fixing crashes on mobile devices so that you can enjoy the game without any interruptions. This is an important change that should make the code more maintainable and reduce its complexity.

Additionally, we’re adding translation support to the game, which means that we will be providing the tools and support for players to translate the game into their own language. However, the actual translations will be crowd-sourced, so players will be able to help us make the game accessible to more players around the world. We’re hoping that this will bring the community closer together and make the game even more enjoyable for everyone.

The layering for the character’s Doll system is also getting an overhaul. We’re expanding support for mods and clothing, and we’ve added some new features like static zorders per layer, dynamic clothing based on other clothing or facial states, support for more common file formats like PNG, AVIF, and TIFF, alongside WEBP. We’ve also expanded modding support so you can add new characters, events, or modify existing ones with less issues. There are also layer modifiers for character files, which will allow for even more customization options.

The Chibis are also getting an overhaul with a brand new codebase and artwork for all characters. We’re sure you’ll love the new look!

We’ll be disclosing more changes and additions as they get closer to being ready, so stay tuned for more updates. For those who missed our previous progress report, the next two updates will be focusing on Cho, and Luna.

To sweeten up the wait time a little, we’ll be posting a fun teaser on our Patreon page that we’re sure will bring a smile to all you quidditch fans.Ā  Keep an eye out for smaller teasers being posted on our discord server, such as the one about Susan wearing a sexy priestess outfit.

It was also brought to our attention that there are issues with our website requiring a log-in, so we’re looking for alternative hosting services. We’ll keep you updated as we find a better solution.

For those who are curious (or impatient šŸ¤) about the progress of the update, we wanted to mention that we use Git for version control. This means that our code and progress is always available for anyone to see. If you’re interested in checking out what we’re working on or following along with our progress, you can find our Git repository on our website. This is a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest changes and to see what we’re working on next. If you do wish to check our repository, please be mindful of spoilers, and that the content is not representative of the final product and may change at any time of the development cycle. If you find any bugs or issues with the new unpublished content, please send us a DM.

We’re always looking for ways to improve the game, and we’re excited to bring these updates to you soon. Thank you for your continued support!

Progress Report

Greeting, It is I, a progress report.

This update’s content is implemented, and we are now finalizing and testing it to ensure everything works as intended. If you are here to find out about the date of the upcoming release, you’re in luck, the update will be released sometime this week. On to the main post now.

The content plan for the next update has been finalized and will include Cho, and to a smaller degree, Tonks. The last quidditch match has left everyone wanting more of Cho, and thus, we will be adding additional events explaining her story, but also more CG scenes, some of which, for the first time, will include Tonks. We don’t want to spoil the details just yet, but if you’ve been following the story, you might know what scene we’re referring to. šŸ˜‰ We will be posting previews of the scenes on our Patreon once they are ready to be revealed.

The work for future updates has already begun, our artist is already working on designing and drawing scenes for Luna, which will be the highlight of the update after Cho’s update.

We are also working on a handset of features that are popular and commonly requested on Discord such as visitable locations with the potential for having more diverse in-game events, and updated chibis for all characters, but we will talk more about it once these features are closer to completion.

We also want to draw attention to our Discord server, which is a great resource for finding more community-made mods that add additional clothing, features, and events. Check ‘Community Modifications’ section for details.

Last but not least, we want to thank one of our community members for contributing a story for Mirror of Erised, which will be included in the upcoming release.

That wraps up this report. Stay tuned and happy witch training!

Progress Report

Greetings!
Today, we would like to talk about the focus of the next update, and content plan for future updates. The update will focus on adding more artwork to Hermione’s storyline, but will also include new scenes, one of which we have previously teased on Patreon. The new event will include toy play, and will have multiple paths, based on Hermione’s corruption stage, her reputation, and your previous choices.
It was a while since we have done anything with Hermione’s public requests, so we have decided to expand them with new scenes and artwork. A preview of one of the scenes will be posted on Patreon sometime next week.
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to hire a full-time artist, so you can expect more artwork in this, and future updates.
We also want to let you know that we are hard at work on Cho’s post-quidditch content, which should shed some light on the events that occurred after the last quidditch match. If you’re more into the sexy stuff, we have got something(s) planned for that occasion as well.
Additionally, some of you might be happy to hear that Luna will be the focus of the next-next update. Be ready, things are about to become a little… looney. šŸ˜œ
You’ll be hearing from us soon.

Progress Report

Greetings!

This post will focus on what we’re working on and the contents of our next release.

Our next release, labelled ‘technical update’, is a smaller update that focuses on improving performance, fixing crashes on Android devices, and laying the groundwork for future features such as translation support, improved developer tools, or event tracking.
Susan’s redrawn model will be included, as well as new sets of clothing.

Some of Hermione’s events, namely ‘plug events’, will be moved into inventory systems, similar to the collars. The “plugs” will also be added as a wearable item in her wardrobe.

We’ll be providing a pre-release version to volunteers for the technical update, to ensure its stability before it goes public.

On top of the above, we are also working on a new set of events for Hermione, which will be released following the technical update.
This event was teased on Patreon a few days ago, but what we didn’t mention is that the event will be split across public and personal variants, each containing a unique set of CG scenes.

We’d also like to mention that our artist, Boppin, decided to start streaming some of their work starting tomorrow at 2 p.m. GMT.
If you want to see Picasso šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽØ at work, make sure to tune into the stream. They’ll be posting in the #live-streams channel on the Discord whenever they go live.

That’s all for now, folks.

Peace! āœŒļø

Progress Report

Hello everyone!

Today’s post will focus on what we’re currently working on for the much-anticipated version 1.42 update.

The majority of the preparations have been completed.
We’re finishing up artwork QA and implementation right now, and we’ll be starting testing soon.

Since this update’s main focus is on Cho, we combed through old content, improving both the plot and the artwork that we felt was previously lacking polish.
Additional sequences during key quidditch matches with (avoidable) public content are one of the new additions.

We’d also like to let you know that the new Susan model will be deferred until the next update because we don’t think rushing it would be a good decision. Quality over quantity.

That pretty much sums up this progress report.
Keep an eye on things, be safe, and stay horny. šŸ’–

Witch Trainer Silver – Update 1.41.4

Season’s greetings to all!

In this Holiday-themed update, Christmas has once again returned to Hogwarts.

This update includes a collection of holiday-themed decorations for your office, which may be obtained by completing a “Holiday” mirror storyline. Yes, I put the second Holiday in quote marks since this one is unusual, as you can probably tell from the picture.

Let’s see what the non-spoiler synopsis of this mirror story says… “This storyline involves a pent-up Genie who most likely didn’t have any nuts during November…” I have no idea what that implies… Do Genies eat at all?

To brighten up the office, the new decorations include a set of fully programmable Christmas Lights. Wow, Genie must have been cooped up and alone in there for a long time. At the very least, he’ll have something to play with other than himself.

Silver Studio Games wishes everyone a nice holiday season and a prosperous new year.

And as always, for a complete list of changes, please refer to the changelog.
